Mark, I don't know if you want to enclose the back of the cab or not, but I have the back of an MJ cab. We cut it off of a wrecked one before it was junked, just in case someone might have a use for it one day.
So, who's driver is it going to be.....yours or Mike's? :)
Looks like fun...... :D

Geeze Mark. Don't you have enough projects already? I mean, is the MJ even done? :)

No it is not, but the next thing was to shorten the wheel base, so I went this way instead. So I will be selling the MJ with all the stuff on it or stock depending on what happens with timing.

I dunno.
Do you think that's the smartest thing to do? Seems like the MJ is already started and you won't have to do any body work to it. Just shoten the frame and tube it and yer done. Seems like more options for bling bling diamond plate boxes and such for the MJ.

Mark, is this some sort of "I can get my junk built before Sean and Grant contest" that we don't know about?

"I can get my junk built before Sean and Grant contest"
Oh, it's on. I got my arch nemesis of a little VW dune buggy out of my way now. I'm back on my junk full force starting tomorrow. The reworking of the cage will be done by Fri. super late and the links will be done by Sun. super late. That leaves me with building a fuel cell, getting the springs on and dialed in, putting the radiator in the back and then getting all those pesky fuel, gas, and coolant lines run. I WILL be done by the end of Aug.

Does this mean you'll actually start 4 wheeling now? You know, in the rocks, where there is potential for door dings? :D

mark, once you got that section of roof out, did you mess around with seeing how much unibody flex that caused?
I remember how weak mine got, and i didn't cut anywhere close to the amount you've cut away......
was wondering what your thoughts on the unibody are now?

Actually it was stronger than I ever thought it would of been. Even when we were cutting it we jumped around on it to flex it and it never moved. We have been driving it around the parking lot and it doesn't feel any different. Hven't twisted it up but don't want to push it.
We were amazed on where there was a lot of layers and where there was very few layers. We go to learn alot about the body this way.
Tubing work starts this week.
