Who is doing what and when?

It doesn't look like I will be going to Moab, but I would like to do something a little more local. So if you dont have plans and want to wheel, let me know.

Edit: I am available Friday - Monday.

X2 was thinking about trying to get up over Wallsburg and into main canyon, head north over Heber Mountain and down into Francis maybe:dunno: don't know what the snow level will bring, any of the passes could be impassible yet.

I'd like to get out to, available Sat-Tues. Dont know where'd I'd like to go. Anyone ever try Lake Fork by Thislte? There is a little reservior up there also. Never been up thru Wallsburg. Anything good up Diamond fork?Anywhere is cool.

I hope to be available on Monday. I started the swap of my frontend last night. I have things with my kids tonight and tomorrow. But I have a half day on Friday and then all day Saturday to get it together and then give it a real try out.

Im easy either day. whatever you guys decide. My wife is talking about going camping on Saturday, so, if we can set a destination, then we will be camping near there..:D

Monday is my only day off. I tried today to get Sunday off but I guess one of our trucks had a slight miscalculation with an elk in the road and rolled a fully loaded truck trailer and pup over twice.

Scratch one truck. Driver is in the Idaho Falls ICU with a busted up spleen and four broken ribs.

Needless to say we are short a driver now...I think its going to get busy again.

Damn clint, that sounds like a butt load of money all at once! Too bad nobody wants to head to Moab this weekend. I am still going but guess I will have to hang out with Derek for the whole time, lol.

It will be worth it. I wish I could go down this weekend, but I have to work Saturday. If not I probally would be. Hope all goes well testing those new longarms!

So jeremy, Exlplain what way you want to run Main Canyon. Do you want to go up to the pass and run it from that way? Where does it come out at?

I have heard rumors, that you can Access main canyon from the Wallsberg side, sheepherders said only a 4wheeler could make it(makes me wanna try), once in Main Canyon, head north/north east to 40, then just past Daniels summitt there is a Dugway that heads up the east side of 40, I have taken that road all the way to Current Creek but wanted to play and see how possible it is to reach Wolfcreek, or even Soapstone basin, via Heber Mountain..

BUT, I haven't been able to find how the snow level is on either Heber mountain, or the top of Wallsberg.

I would love to join you guys Monday but family can in from out of town.

Jeremy, let me know when you decide to try the run up wallsburg to main canyon. No that I have any idea where that is but it sound like a fun little adventure.

It sounds like Matt and friends are in.

i have 2 other cherokees going with me i am planning on leaving layton in the am some time if you want we could meet some were and caravan down..... or just meet there at a set time like 10:00 i have never been there and have no idea how long it takes to get there or how long it takes to complete the trail? give me some input

That Mineral Basin thread was a thread of what they alredy did not what is being planned. We can do that if that is what people want to do.

Used my avail sick days for Moab :doh: I get a few more in July... It's not work on Monday that is stopping me... The family gathering is. I want to go, will try. And my new CB won't be here until Tuesday..gRrr

Ok, guys, How about the Wallsburg to Main trip?, I will do a screen capture with the TOPO trails.

Those trailering, can leave the rigs either at the Turn-off from Deer creek, or we can find a spot further up towards the dirt road, it looks like we can make this a round trip, with out coming back on the same trail, other the pavement part..

So, what do you'all think?

There are some peaks that almost reach the 9K foot mark. We could start at the finish tho, and stay more towards the 4WD roads, and the lower elevations.

Not sure... But, someone might want to have a set of tire chains handy.
Seems like a long drive to be denied by snow......
AF is closer and highly traveled besides as far as I know Forest lake hasn't be
concord yet.

Looking more and more like I won't be there. My Grandma was just put into the ICU. I have to drive to Evanston on Sunday and I'm not sure whats happening after that...

Also there will be a bunch of the people from the Wasatch Cruisers up AF. I work with a bunch of them and they said they're planning a ride up AF on monday... Should be nice and muddy!
