So this week I had an AA HD SYE and an RE cv driveshaft put in my 1996 2 door cherokee with a 231 and 8.25 rear. The place that installed it did not remove my t-case drop. Its only a 1/2 inch i think. Can I safely remove it, or will the new DS be too short? It drives great, but I think my exhaust has started to develope a rattle from no longer being supported by the ex-member.

yes you can remove it safely. hook your exaust back up to the rubber hole. or if you or u know a welder, just weld a peice on the pipe if the factory peice is gone

I'm going to go ahead and pul the t-case drop today. Hopefuly the pinion angle won't be thown off too much. I'm really worried about topping out the travel on a new DS and damaging it.
