In the middle of my 27 to 29 spline swap...do i have to change carrier?

I have never read that i had to change carrier but now that i have both axles apart i find that the 2 spider gears with the 29 splines dont fit in my 27 spline carrier and the 2 spider gears with 27 splines fit in the 29 spline carrier loose. I am begining if this is worth it if i have to re-setup my gears.

I haven't heard of that either, but it makes sense.

Do you have the carrier out of the housing?

1. If you do I say yes to swapping the carrier.

2. If you don't and have time to make the change do it.

3. If you don't and don't have the time, put it back together and plan on doing it later.

i am just afraid of my gears blowing up if i have to re-set them a year after the first time

Did you buy the spiders from the dealer? I've got the part# at work. But the case part#s are the same.
The Stealer does send shims with different thicknesses to properly install spiders.
