Cop Jeep

I am trying to buy a Jeep(XJ) from the State Police (totaled on the drivers side). I haven't looked under the hood yet but it does have some crazy skid plates on it.. I was just wondering if anyone has dealt with this b4 and do they have anything special about them ??????

i'd expect to find a heavy-duty electrical system, oil and trany coolers, limited-slip rear, and have heard of quicker-ratio steering boxes.

And an extended idle switch, and a speedometer that goes to 100 (or 125? I don't know).

x2 on the electrical system - marine duty batteries, heavy duty alternator, etc.

an auction place in the Harrisburg area that has a number of Xjs that arent dented, unless you wanted it for parts. Buying any unibody that has been hit hard may end up being more than fenders and doors.

Thanks to all.... oh and from what i have heard is a tree slid down the side at about 20 or so just enough to mess it up so it shouldnt be to bad to fix....
