Is anyone interested in heading to the Badlands park the weekend of 6/16-6/18? A few of us from MI are thinking of planning a trip there and I'm justing seeing if there is any interest from the NAXJA crowd.

Maybe. See how much extra money I have, and how much gas is around that time.

I might just have to give this a little bump. Sense our little thing this weekend went up in smoke. :)

I could meet you in Toledo, that's about 2 hours from me.
I'm gonna have to think real hard about this.

AShland Oh,
well we are either going to do: 1) toledo then over, 2) to Fort Wayne and then over, or 3) I-94 basically to Chicago and then down. i think right now we are leaning towards going to fort wayne. seems that would be best for you to. toledo would be going out of your way.

Is there any possible way to organize a ride along? I got my XJ ripped apart right now in the shop awaiting full widths. I really wanna see what the Badlands has to offer and meet up with some of you guys. I might have a buddy come with me or just drive by myself, im about 3-4hrs from there and didnt want to make the trip by myself..could anything be worked out?

A group of Jeepers from Midwestjeepthing will be up there all weekend. We'll be camping at Carrol Summers. We should be pulling in late thursday night and wheeling Fri and Sat and maybe a few hours on sunday morning before heading back to MO. If any of you all are camping at Carrol Summers, come find us.

yeah we'll be at Summers as well, pulling in early evening. we're only down to two Jeeps, my XJ and a TJ, after some carnage this past weekend.

Me, SteelFish, and others, will be there Saturday & Sunday.
We're staying at Attica Family Campground by the entrance to Badlands.
I think we're gonna be on CB 1.
We will be running with a bunch of Ford Exploders.
See Ya!

Just got home from the Badlands. Had a great time. The weather couldn't have been better. No rain until after we were on the road home too. Took my rockcrawler scorpion out in the quarry and was quite impressed with what it would do. Nice to meet you XJ4Life.

I drove past quite a few XJ's this weekend, however since my group was on the move most of the time I couldn't even stop to talk. It was agreat weekend. Even today (SUNDAY) was ok with the little rain they got.

where did you almost flop it?
xj4life

where did you almost flop it?
actually it was twice but we only got pictures of the one. both were on orange.
first one fairly early on orange. you take a 90deg right hand turn off a ridge down a really steep hill. tree tight to the inside with a root sticking into the turn with a drop off below it. back right tire came off it and the whole thing pitched up and towards the passenger side. it went slow and i knew we werent going over all the way. my buddy in the pass set just about pooped his pants. guess we smacked a tree cause the gutter on the pass rear is dented.
second one was about half way through orange and its the one we got pics of. large drop off combined with an off chamber left hander. just wasnt really thinking it through. i knew it might be bad so i had my buddy grab the cage before we dropped in. front went over the drop and the back right tire ended about a foot off the ground and the drivers roof rested against the trees. luckly my buddy could get out and put his weight on my rear bumper to steady it. then my other buddy behind us hooked up his winch, snatched blocked off a tree up the hill and pulled me back up right.
