normal temp?

what is the normal running temp. my gauge never goes past the second bold line and my neighbor says this is too low. is my thermostat off? tia

210 on the gauge is "normal." However, the gauges aren't all that accurate and on an older one I'm not surprised it reads low. I have an '88 and it reads about the same as yours. I know I have a factory 195 thermostat in there because I bought it and installed it myself, so the gauge has to be off.
