99 Intake Manifold

If I replaced my intake manifold on my 96 with a newer model (99 and up) would I run into any trouble with the steering pump? I think it's one of the newer ones, but I'm not really sure on that.

P.S. I searched and I couldn't find what year the pumps change, just that you'll run into problems with "the old one" and not with "the new one."

IIRC you will need to swap in the 99+ P/S bracket too.

You'll need the PS pump & bracket from a '97+ XJ or a '96+ TJ.

If it's at all posable park a 99 or so next to your 96 and go over then. Noting any differences. Witch intake to head gasket should you use. Witch TB to intake gasket should you use. Are the bolts the same? In most cases all will go well but it's nice to check things before you pull the intake and have to find a ride to pick up needed parts
