I'm going to buy some tires in like a week and was hoping to find some slightly used ones. If anybody wants to get rid of some 35x12.50s let me know. Or if anyone knows where to get a good deal, same applies.
Thanks 8)

Give www.tire.com a look,

I bought the $20ea Cert(replaces them 100% on any kind of unrepairable cut or damage) on all my MTR's, so you won't have to end up like Jes. You can get the cert on all the tires they sell. At the time I got a deal on free shipping and no sales tax in CA.

Chuck may be better, but i got the reciet from americas for my mtrs at 160 apiece. Might help, Forrest.

There the same, one is the internet and the other is at the store front. I think my 33's were $165 a piece. Not including the certs. But if your going to invest in good tires and abuse them. The you should pay for the warrenty.

Don't know if you are interested in BFG's but I priced a set of 35 BFG MT's at Costco for $156 each.

If you are willing to travel a bit I go to a shop in Livermore and have great deals and you dont need to buy any extra warranty for the tires. People always disagree with me on this but a good local shop is always a good bet. For example I bought 4 BFG AT 30X9.5 and 4 RS9000s for whopping deal of $639. I have dealt with this shop since I was 16 and buy at least two seta of tires a year from them. They are Kens Tire in Livermore.

A little bird told me that my 35 MTR's will be for sale in the next couple of months. I will be selling them mounted on my black rockcrawlers. Also have a 90% 35 ATKO for a spare. Make me a reasonalbe offer but keep in mind that the tires were $190 a piece with the discount tire replacment certificate and the rockcrawlers were $45 a piece, no including taxes.

Got my $850 profit sharing/Christmas bonus today, so it doesn't look like the tires are going to be that much of a problem!!

You are probalby too young to know what this quote refers to, but: "We can rebuild him. We have the technoogy. Better. Stronger. Faster."

D60 diff hangs a bit low for the 35s and I am going to 8 lug. These MTR's on the rockcrawlers 5 on 4.5 will be a nice setup. No rips, no tears, brand new on Sept 1, 02.

SeanP got tired of breaking stuff all the time so the lift and tires are coming off and he's putting stock 225s on and sending the ol' heep to the body shop for 6 months of panel straightening.

Well he got tired of not being able to keep up with driver skill so he decided to try to make up for with a bigger rig. Either that or he's going through a midlife crisis & is trying to compensate for his small third member. Man this is too easy. I could go on all night, but my teeth hurt.

billy, left you a message. Let me know ASAP. I have a guy in Tracy that wants just the tires and I would just as soon sell these as a package. My cell is 798-1013.

Matt, dropping a third member and rebuilding a detroit for 6 hours sucked. I have decided that I never want to do that again, so I am going bigger. 38SX's 8 lug hummer rims, 35 spline front and rear axles. Did I mention AtlasII?

I know I am a crappy driver with a small peepee, but so what.

Damn, I finally decide to move up to 35's and I'm becoming the small tire guy again. Well, I went everywhere the big boy's did when I had 33's, I guess I'll have to do the same with the 35's. :D :D

At least I shouldn't break a rear axle!

Good luck with all of the new upgrades, Sean. Another JV trip before BOTW2?

JV in February would be cool. I should have everything back together by then. This is a good liklelyhood that an internal cage will go in the XJ soon.

Hope your body shop is treating you right, Richard.

I have the tubing bender set up in the garage and I've started practicing on some scrap tubing I have laying around. I'm hoping to start bending hoops for the cage next Saturday, even though the Jeep won't be back yet. I have my daughters XJ to take measurements from.

I'm still planing on going to Calico the weekend after New Years, so I have to get as much done as possible. I have my fingers crossed with the body shop. I sort of wish I was doing it myself so I could take the time and do it exactly how I would want it, but it sure is nice not to have to do it and to get it done in a very short time. :D
