I'm in Valdosta, Ga, which is just across the state border about 20 minutes. I'm about an hour and half from Jax, too.
Anywhere good to wheel in North Florida? Ocala is the only place I know of.

I've thought about checking out the dirt roads and hunting trails in Osceola NF. I couple of guys I know hunt there, and are always talking about playing out there. Mostly mud and ruts I'd expect.

yellowxj say "what is this thing? no look like dirt? no taste like mud? must be soft florida limerock. Yellowxj try and crush." Come down to ocala this weekend. Lots of clubs riding in the forest. Monday I'm heading to the pit to make more trails. Might be the only good climbing and florida semi-rockin' area around. Dont tell every one its a secret...Ocala underground offroad cheeseball msn site. (http://www.msnusers.com/OcalaUndergroundOffRoad)
Not a club either. http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid76/pcc8f3d4af1de58bb9b788e680c3e95fd/fb4304ef.jpg
Thanks to xjsuperman for the pic. Great shot.

I'm in slow-cala, I mean ocala. The pit is tough and fun and were making more trails almost weekly. But its only 100 ac. or so. You can spend a day there esp. if you've got new friends to hang out with and discuss xj wish lists.

Almost rolled it last weekend. Tried to do all the trails but need a locker to finish the last bit of this one. Had to drop the passenger side windows, wrap a strap around the pillar and have friends pull the jeep down while I backed out. You know your close to going over when they pull on the strap and the jeep settles a foot or so...

Found some rocks to play on. Limerock and flint. Got some clearing to do to make some gardenish type runs.

Even with 31's and open ends my wife had a blast working her xj to the top of the "brown trouser hill" trail. Notice her application of throttle, liberal but not excessive. The down side of this trail is a blind 90 deg. right 45 deg. down hill turn that one of the first people down had commented that he need to change the seat covers on his fj40 after making it down...

I'm in south Geogia, but it looks like ocala is the closest thing to me. I'm not into mud, so it's limited down here.
Let me know next time ya'll are going out. I'd like to join ya.
Here's my rig.

It's not that pretty anymore. I've got no flares and I've chopped the fenders.

You runnin' 33's Spyder? How much lift? I'm runnin 32's w/ 4.75" of lift, front and rear, and am thinking of going to some narrow 33's. Like 33x10.50's on stock wheels. Just curious. Dann

Dann, I've got 32's on there with the RE 3.5 Superflex kit. It's really netted me 4.5" in the front and 5" in the rear. And now with no flares and trimmed fenders it looks like i have even more lift.

Shoot, Im right at 6" lift and my 32's rub :D:D
Got that sawz-all ready for next time Im up that way Travis?!?
SpyderXJ

Yeah...you don't have to take too much off the 32's to rub though.

Speedy, is that an actual measurement, based off of measured stock height, or manufacturers mathematical height? Based on manufacturers math height, I'd be at 4.50" front and 5.75" rear as my pile 'o' shite stands. Actual measured lift height using stock numbers from same point of reference, is 4.75" front, and 4.75" rear, and I still think the ass rides low. I haven't wheeled anything beyond a level 2 trail in while, but I haven't rubbed anything with 32" Swampers, Yokohama Geo A/T +'s, or my current Dunlop A/T's, except the rears, and that is a block and spring set-up that has sagged. I added the RE 1.25" shackles, and that basically leveled me out . I haven't yet wheeled it with them (the lift shackles), as my better judgement, and reality, has kept me from doing so, but I believe I can run 33's with appropriate bumpstops, and about an inch or none more lift, front and rear.

I think if we take off the inside fender braces on the front of your ride speedy we can eliminate most of the rub. Course then you fenders flex in really easy and they start to look like mine ~~~~~~. :)
