9" leaf perches

so ive got the 9 inch in the rear of my xj now, but the perches on the axle are about maybe an inch ,maybe a bit less, wider then the xj perches which causes the leafs to be kinda pushed outwards a bit. ive read a couple threads on here with guys not moving the perches and running them like this . if i dont have to move the perches i dont want to. how does it ride , flex, etc. any input apreciated. thanks

You will fatigue the springs by not having the perches exactly under the springs and would never do it myself.

Mine were 1/2" per side, drives fine and flexes fine, can barely even see the springs are pushed out.
