Colorado Springs' XJ going to Moab

I'm planning on driving out for the Moab event on 10/9. Are there any other member driving out from the Colorado Springs area on that day?

Get onto the Colorado-XJ list on yahoo e-groups. I am sure there will be a convoy leaving Denver. I'll have my young 'uns and a baby if we make it, so we'll be traveling alone at probably not so fast of a pace...

I'm seeking recommendations for a good, honest, knowledgeable shop to get some work done on my XJ. I'm in the area temporarily, but long enough that I need to have my Jeep looked at. Thanks,

I've haven't had a lot done by any of the shops but I have had good luck with Advenger on Austin Bluffs.

Hey Tom,

I have had lots of work by Avenger 4 Wheel Drive on Austin Bluffs. New engine, RE 4.5 lift... stuff. They have treated me pretty fair. Ed, one of the two owners knows a great deal about Cherokee's. That what he build up. I don't know how they are with gears yet. But I'm told the're pretty good with those too. Good luck.

I'm in denver and plan on leaving around 5 pm on that day. Not sure what route you are taking, but if you want to tag along just let me know.

Avenger 4 Wheel Drive is a full service shop. They can also install their SuperCharger for you at about $5,000. It's very nice.

On Moab: I'm still looking a leaving on the 8th. Maybe a full crew of 4 if everything can be worked out. Anyone leaving the morning of the 8th?

Reason: Tom R. of FF99 and the first Colorado List/Naxja Moab 99 trip is in town for school with the Air Force. Meet some Naxja members and/or Colorado list members, talk about plans for this falls Moab trip.

Where's he located in California, could probably hitch a ride with someone and meet you in Moab. I am leaving the Oxnard area on the 8th. to arrive in Moab on the 9th.

P.S. If any of you are buying parts locally, I may be able to run them to Moab for you. Keep in mind no trailer so small parts prefered.
