I've looked around for lifts and it seems Ebay is the way to go for me. My only question is, does anyone have any idea if Customs will charge me anything for the kit crossing the border? I live in Canada abd it's coming from the states. I once had to pay UPS $70 for a video card, that was even marked as "Gift".

Do two things:
Call customs if you have a customs question.
Ask the guy on ebay if you have an ebay question.

I work for UPS here in Canada and I will say that there is a 99% chance that you will have to pay duty/ brokerage when you get it if it's shipped by UPS.
I have recently been buying my stuff from Jeeperz Creeperz on Ebay and have found them to be super friendly and helpfull to us Canadians. They will also ship to us via US Air mail which is a little cheaper than UPS and most of the time there is no extra charge for duty/ brokerage:sunshine:
