just curious as to what brand everyone is running and what they bought their lift rated at and what they are actually getting. I am in the process of garaging my jeep and piecing together the best for my money and getting the desired amount I want to trim and clear tires and keep my center of gravity as low as possible. In a recent 4wheel and SUV I saw a guy running 4.5 and 35s... couldn't stuff all that much by the looks though... anyways... post away, let's compare sizes
Edit: oops... I forgot to say mine... currently running skyjacker leaves and 1.5 greasable shackle to get about 4 inches with sagged down superlift coils, getting right at 4 also

OME 3" with ZJ front coils and an OME add-a-leaf in the rear OME spring packs.
Getting about 3" in front, 3.5"-3.75" in the rear. No extended shackles. Will probably go to extended shackles in a few months and throw some spacers in the front to level it out.

I have a BDS 3" lift that is right at about 3" in front (3.75 with spacer) and around 4.5" out back. The more I look at it the more I think the guys at Tarheel 4x4 accidentally gave me the 4.5" leaf pack vs. the 3" pack. So basically, the springs settle out right to what they are rated.

i have a rustys 405 coils rated at 4.5 inches with a 3/4 neoprene spacer and a 2 inch BB in the front and a 3.5 rustys AAL and 2 inch over sized spring perches ( 2.5x2.5x1/4 wall square tubing because the BB blocks crushed the stock spring perches they give 2" of lift over stock ) with a 1.5 rustys shackle.
totaling front 7.25 inches and rear 7 inches even on BFG 33's
now the real lift totals with the armor and skids and tools and fuel and full sized spare tire ect, ect,ect i net with the 350 SBC in the front around 4.5 inches and in the rear 3.5 to 4 inches. ( the stock 85 liefs are shot, no real help there, got different main springs waiting for the bastard packs )
but god do i flex and my center of gravity is mondo low

Rusty's 3 in with aal, a hair over 3 up front but heard the coils will settle a little so back to 3 exactly maybe in awhile. The extra leaf for the rear gave me maybe 1in and change not the expected 1.5 claimed, but my rears are old and already sagging. Going to add a 1-1-/2in block to get it even to a little more in the rear for hauling gear. But real happy with the front coils and shocks overall. Good Luck.

Rustys 805- 9" settled to 8.5
Rustys 6.5 6pack- 8" now to ~7.5
no heavy bumpers or winch, yet. just subs and tools

2" spacers in front (I put the stock isolator back on, too), and full-length A.A.L. in the rear. The leaf was supposed to give 2" and it's currently sitting at 2 1/2" with about two hundred pounds of stuff in the back. Without the "stuff" in there, I'd guess it to be ~3."

Rough Country 4.5" that is actually 5.5" in the front and 4" in the back. Kinda pissed that the leaf packs sagged so much. it was about 4.75" when i installed them....and its only been 2 weeks....
1.5" lift shackles in the mail.....

Then why are you claiming 9.5" of lift at the bottom of your message?

so those RE 5.5 coils give about 6 inches then? How long have you had them, have they had time to settle, and do you have a heavy winch and bumper on the front?

I hear of a lot of guys running 4.5" RE and running 35"s with trimming
Any lift you are going to do, you will have to trim to fit bigger tires, If you are going to be wheeling somewhere like here in PA with a lot of hills and off angles you want to have the biggest tire under the least amount of lift without rubbing.
Heres mine, 3" Skyjacker, 2" RockyRoad(spacers/ shackles, 1"blocks)...Acutally at 6" on 34"s

how new is that lift? has it had time to settle out and are you running shackles, blocks, or spacers for the extra 2 inches?

Been on a year and a half. It was almost 7 in the beginning. It's a stock 6130. My fenders are trimmed so it looks like more to some.

I've got 2 factory isolators on. I bought the springs used, but lightly. No winch. I have an AJ's bumper. These spring did raise it up a little more than an inch over Rustys 4.5" springs. JIM.

I've got the Rough Coutry 4.5" lift kit, but pieced the rear together with dakota springs and skipped the shackle included with the kit. Also put a 4.5 degree shim in the back. Cut the fenders to where the fender flare was, but it flexed enough to push the 33's into the driverside fender causing it to buckle....more trimming needed. I'd go 5-6" in the front with teraflex shackles....but then I'd need a pitman arm, new upper/lower control arms, and an SYE/driveline....AND bigger tires.... The front still sits at about 5" and the rear pushin 5 as well. No winch/bumpers yet. That's when I'll go higher springs in the front

RE 3.5" superflex on a 99' was over 4+" its been on a while now and I had to remove one of the springs in the rear leaf pack- rode to damn harsh and it was raked way to high for my liking. now it sits at a solid 3.5-4" all around and the ride is MUCH improved.

Rusty's 4.5 full spring kit after more than a year with winch and tools still at 4.5 would be approx. 5 inch if no winch and tools. Very pleased.

R.E. 4.5 "rated".
Rears are really tight, and very high... still @ 6in, after trailer towing.
Front springs sagged 1.5 within 2 weeks of install- plugged in a 2" extension puck. Now at 6", but I'm putting new front bumper and winch in next few weeks, and think I'll need to go ACOS extensions.
RE front spirings for lifts are under-rated. Go with 6", expect 4.5 actual.
Less with big nose hardware.
Should have bought 6" GC front springs, but lesson learned.
