I'm looking to buy an MJ longbed without a bed. Is this a big project for a weekend mechanic?

not too bad at all, but you'll need some help moving that bed around. also, the gas-tank is attached to the bed, so that is probably the hardest/ most complicated part, which is still pretty easy.
