poppin noise when in suspension when xj has been sitting and......

When i get in my 96 xj in the morning and put in 1st or reverse i will get a rather load noise coming from (i think my front end) it also happens from time to time when i release the clutch from R or 1st. has anybody had this problem
I have a 2" superlift and 31s and about to get an aftermarket clutch.
