Tranny Filter Replacement

I was wondering if somebody would be nice enough to give a series of instructions/important things to consider when replacing an automatic tranny filter for a 92 cherokee laredo. Also any suggestions on where to get a tranny filter/gasket? Will I need gasket sealant? Thankx

You may want to do a search on this topic. Unless you think something is wrong with your filter, you may just want to remove it, carb clean it and stick it back in. Mine in a 2000 is just a metal screen. I purchased a replacement once..........I don't plan on doing it again.

but other than that, replacement is a snap.

the bolts holding the pan on are very very soft so follow torque reccomendations closely. and don't use sealant.

just use the cork gasket that comes with the filter. It seals just fine.
