The beginning of the never ending list before July. I should have plenty of time if I don’t start procrastinating. The way I work I will save everything until the middle of June.
Finish gas tanks skid
Flip the tie rod
Put the safety washers on my heim joints
Replace ball joints
Raise rear axle shock mounts
And if I get lucky and the Rigid rear bumper is finished and shipped by then, I’ll install that.

Well lets see, put an XJ back together after painting it,
and when I say back together I mean the dash,ALL the inside trim,
seats and door panels after putting doors back on and the hood.
Plus a lift kit on top of that.
Also put long arm kit on my XJ while changing the tranny.
Try to get bigger tires before july.
Umm, that pretty much covers it.
Theres more but you get the picture.
See you when?

my alternator just took a dive and I think I popped the front drive shaft cv joint trying to snatch out my friends 2500 dodge...there than that mines good enough to ride...wouldnt mind getting the steering box braces and track bar braces on both of them...

Be carefule with that track width difference, when I went to the 9" my front acted weird and I had to get some spacers to straighten it out.

that dodge d60 rear is almost a complete bolt in...8.25 ubolts and plates work, drive shaft is 1.5" too long, spring perches perfect...just have to weld on some shock mounts and see if the 19" dodge truck brake hose is long enough...the full width rear doesnt really seem that much wider than the front...put 16" rims on the rear...those truxus 35x12.5R16 are a load range E...the front 35x12.5R15's are a load range C...it will be neat to see if they perform any different aired down

Been rebuilding the jeep for the past 8months. Including a Full body swap, frame plating, new crossmember, and control arm mounts.
Left to do is rebuild some rockrails, Figure a new way to mount front and rear bumpers, fab some sort of t-case linkage. Finish wiring up some things
Hopefully get a local shakedown run in the weekend before tellico.

Just when I thought I was ready enough...now my power steering pump is toast. What's bad is it's not the pump itself...BUT the bearing(s) the pulley/shaft ride on. Started squeaking a couple weeks ago and now it's griding REAL bad...that's how I figured out exactly what it was.
So I gotta get a PS pump this week and get it swapped. YAY!

that's ok not too bad. I redid my rear brake lines on the 9" that I smashed on lower 2 last year and took her for a test drive. It starrted doing some really weird stuff so I limped it back to the shop. Not far at all maybe .25 to .5 mile. I pulled the front diff cover and found some broken ring gear teeth. About 3 to 4 of them. So if the D44 dont get in this weekend I am without a heep!

Well... against my better judgement, I tore into the front suspension this afternoon.
Didn't get a whole lot done :( got waylaid into a 1.5 hour trip to the parts store for a couple forgotems. As it worked out, got started spinning wrenches @ 2pm...nice & cool in the Carolina sunshine.
Before I throw them at the junk or the children, I like to take stock of my arsenal... everything seems to be accounted for (except one 13mm combo wrench and one 13mm socket)
http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h291/naxjawoody/Toolinventory1.jpg
I was working slowly & wisely, and feeding the skeeters ;) Yanked off the tires/wheels & blasted them off with the pressure washer, retourqued the rear U-bolts & leaf/shackle bolts, then put the front tires onto the back. Sucked all the old brake fluid out of the MC. Then got the calipers, track bar axle-end, shocks unhooked, and a last blast of PB Blaster on the needy spots before nightfall.
http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h291/naxjawoody/anotherangle.jpg
If all goes well, tommorrow AM, this stuff is going in:
http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h291/naxjawoody/XJfrontlift-brakeparts.jpg
Hit a couple minor snags already... the junction where the brake hard lines join the lower rubber lines is not wanting to turn loose w/o rounding. I suspect a combination of Vise Grips, fire and  should make something happen... OR I could just straighten/relocate the hard line mounts lower, before I tear something up beyond my means of fixing it.
Also the nuts that retain the OEM shocks to the upper fenders are not the same pitch as the threads on the 9" travel gas-charged deals I have handy. OTOH I have a set of 10" travel hydros, BPEs & upper loop conversions that I hope will fit... the 9" stock style were "plan B" anyway. We shall see...

Fluids done yesterday ended up putting a new K&N in, the old one was filthly beyond cleaning. I did get the CB working corrected ended up having a shorted coax cable.
I still may end up cuting the rear QTR's, even though the rear Bumper from rigid is not ready yet, Terry is working on it next week, so I should get in the middle of July. :)
Just need to load the jeep on Tuesday night and head to Charlotte on Wednesday

Got some accomplished today! I just lack installing the rotor, hose & caliper and the pass. side will be done.
No major snags to cry over today (and easily overcame the couple snags from yesterday eve) but a 1/2 impact will ring a UCA bolt off if, ya let it hammer :dunce: and then it'll sling the socket off down inside the frame  LOL Genius gets to go on a fishing trip... I am not used to power tools.
As far as I can tell, no fresh wounds, no obvious ticks hanging on, and I didn't flop the POS off the jackstands yet... so with that, it's  & :chef: time...

Just started tearing the transmission out AGAIN!!! I pulled it the day before yesterday and installed a new flex-plate to fix the knocking sound I've been hearing. Drove it 4 miles home and lost about a quart of trans. fluid. I guess with the flex-plate being broke it let the torque converter egg-out the new front seal I put in three weeks ago!! Yeah, that's right, three tranny drops in three weeks. At least I've got it down-pat.
Got the rock sliders, just got to get a few new bolts so I can put them on.
UPS should be here any time with the rear Lock-Rite & Posi-Lok for the front.
I really don't know if I'm gonna have enough time to do the front & rear bumpers, just have to see how long this trans. job is gonna take.
We are now leaving @ 1:30c on Thurs.
