I have a 99 Sport and when I apply the brakes I get a squeak coming from the pedal area. Pads and rotors are almost new, 3-4 months old, and I just had my booster replaced a month ago, thinking this was the problem. The irritating noise went away for a while, but now it is back in a lesser form. It just gets on my nerves. Could the bushings on my pedal be wearing out?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

I had a master cylinder in a Ford pickup about 12 years ago that was doing the same thing. It turned out that the anodizing on the inside of the cylinder bore was wearing away, and the noise was the scraping of that coating on the piston. The solution was a new master cylinder.

I would check the master cylinder if you know your booster is good. Just a thought........

Another thought .. check and lube the pedal spring where it hooks into the pedal arm.
