Well, yet another hard core adventure with some carnage good wheeling and great friends. My little black Jeep made it through with minimal issues although I bent some stuff and cut a MT/R.
Here's Dan rearanging somemore sheet metel on Jack Hammer before blowing a 260.

Here's Matt on Big Johnson...
[img:ad7063c09d]http://home.earthlink.net/~jdrios/Matt,%20BJ3.jpg[/img:ad7063c09d]
...he laid it over on a big rock on Jack Hammer resulting in D pillar dents and a broken window.
Here's Dave Taylor on Big Johnson.

Here I am coming up a waterfall on Outer Limits shortly before losing a tire and needing a winch.

Paul Sinclair on Outer Limits...
[img:ad7063c09d]http://home.earthlink.net/~jdrios/Paul,%20Outer%20Limits.jpg[/img:ad7063c09d]
...his only damage was a dent in his passenger side doors.
Kevin Marcus on Outer Limits

Damage totals:
SeanP One broken alloy Dutchman 31 spline 9" shaft the other one with twisted splines.
MJ Dan More dents, broken shock mounts, and two broken 260 u-joints.
FarmerMatt, dented D pillar and broken right rear window
Grant Barclay one rear driveshaft hosed
Brett Thornton snapped D35 shaft
Rick Norman, Snapped D30 shaft, exploded lock-rite, probable R&P damage, separated unit bearing(resulting in his entire wheel leaving the vehicle!)
Me, cracked exhaust(welded up in camp) one MT/R, rear OX cable crushed(still works), dent in door, dented shock, crushed t-case skid, slightly bowed tie rod.
I think everyone added a dent or two.
Unfortunatly Richard retired ol' yellow on Jack Hammer when he lait it over hard on a big boulder.

Thankfully he wasn't injured and noone was riding with him at the time. He wheeled his mangled heep the rest of the weekend.
These trails were the hardest I've ever run and if you don't have your sh!t together you shouldn't be out there. A lot of obstacles on these trails require liberal use of the go pedal and that was in evidence this weekend, I hadn't seen this group(or myself) drive like that before, very entertaining.
I have a ton more pics, so once I find a site to host them I'll give a link to the album.

Excellent pics Jes hurry up and get the rest on a site. :p :D

That sucks about The Goat's rig, looks like its time to chop the top via Sean Rose style. 8)

Holy cow that looks gnarly! Glad you guys had a good trip. It looks like the rock won with Richards rig. I am glad no one was hurt. Can't wait to see the rest of the pics.

Thanks for posting the pics. Sorry I missed Saturday but after my 6 hour field repair that included dropping my third member and dissassembling/reassembling the detroit, I was burnt. Looks like I have some serious decision making to do about my rear axle now, in addition to my front axle.

SeanP

Sean what were you doing when you lost both axles? and did it make a loud bang?

Sorry to hear about the rig Richard, you have to get another yellow one you know

And Andy are you thinking what I am thinking, that the Halo would of saved old Yellow?

Jes, I had a great time also. Your right those trails will kick your ass if your not ready. I was mentally worn out after Sunday. On the way home I thought I might give the jeep a little rest. But this morning on the way to work I was allready thinking about more mods. This link might work for
my photo's.

My Dad took over 200 photo's. I will send a link after he gets them up.
Looking forward to the next trip.

P.S. Matt I will turn the sprinkler timer down for you N-cal guys.

Awsome pics! Looks like a good time was had by all. Sorry to see/hear about Richards rig. Might be a good time to remove the top
Maybe one day.........maybe

Gary, I wasn't really doing anything when the axle broke. Not a hard section at all. It was a really quiet "ping". I thought that it was the detroit differentiating, but MJ Dan informed me that the right rear wasn't turning.

yep, he broke two of em. I believe he has an ARB. He has broken that front end every time I have wheeled with him, it seems. Time for beef. Like your D44, Brett. How are your plans coming along?

SeanP

Somemore pics.

I am so glad I listened to Richard and swaped in brand new D30 axle shafts with snap ringed 5-760X u-joints for this trip. I surely would have snapped my old 260s. Thanks goes to Keven for insisting I buy the 297 axles from him!

Awesome pics Jes. And to the rest of you it was great wheeling with you all. Thanks for letting a TJ tag along.
See ya
Mike.

P.S- Hey Matt, shoot me an E-mail I have a question for you.

I'd say great pics Jes, but I can't seem to see most of them. There is one pic that I'd like to get a look at though. That would be the one that's labled "whizzing" that you posted on the members board. I only see a red X now. If it is what I think it was you better watch out little man. :x

The strap seemed to work out well. It felt more stable climbing the steep stuff although I'm going to have to do something different with the adjuster buckles as it's already starting to frey the strap. Without it I doubt I would have been able to climb this last waterfall on wrecking ball. everyone had to winch it except for 2 of us.

Look again, they should be back up. Earthlink pulled the plug on my FTP site as I had exceeded my monthly bandwidth usage.
I used a little artistic liberty with the "whizzing" one to annoy Beezil.
