Help with TPS wires...1987 4.0

My TPS doesn't have a plug type connector for the square connector...I'm trying to figure out what color wire is what...1987 W/4.0...the red wire has 7 volts, the black and yellow wire has .20 and the orange wire has 1 volt. Any help would be greatly appreciated....I thought the red was supposed to be ground? Why would it have 7 volts?

Mine is Red to White, Brn-org to Black, Gray-blk to green. Thats the square transmission plug.
