I was on my way to California to yesterday and thought I should go look at the entrance of the con needles to say didn’t make it but it was worth a shot.

yea it is it droped 9" during the hour i was up there i'm sure there is a lot more now

When does the Rubicon usually open up? I'm thinking of a run there this year.

By "open up" is assume you mean when it mostly is free of snow.
Usually by late June but even then the trail can be really wet and have some patches of snow.
