I figured I'd start it off, since you all were at SWAMP!!
Anyway, is the 14th to get to Dinkey or to actually start at the Dusey trail head?
I figure Goatman will it take over from here, ya know we need to make a sticker for this one too. :D

We will camp Wed night at the same spot at Dinkey Creek that we used for the Swamp Lake trip. I can copy the directions and re-post them. We'll meet everyone at the Dusy trailhead at 9:00 am Thursday morning.

I don't know how you would catch us, unless you drove up Thursday evening and headed down the trail aways before camping, then got up early and caught us during the day or that evening. You would definitely run faster by yourself than we'll run with the group.
You look like you're set up fine. Minimum equipment should be at least one locker, 31's, rock rails, and spare axles and steering components.

Bronco, If you do decide to go, bring at least one buddy with another vehicle.
If I want to go, I may have to be that buddy, the manpower at my work is changing, so I may only be lucky to get Friday off. If I can go, then you can get over to my house Thursday night, and we'll head out for the trail before the sun comes up.
BTW: Did you get your rear locker working yet?

Can anybody refresh my memory how long the drive is from the Bay Area? It's been three years since I ran Swamp and I can't for the life of me remember how much time it took to get down there (assuming I don't completely boil over on that steep grade on the way up!). Amy and I will be leaving around noon Wed. so I assume that would give us plenty of time to get down there before dark...
Can't wait to try my new tires!

Hay chuck if you can roll on Friday I may but able to get Friday off. I’ve taken a ton of time off this summer so I feel like I am running low on brownie points, but I think i can do one day. Let me know what you are doing. I haven’t got the ARB working but it is a possibility by then.

Bronco, My going now also depends on getting Friday off. It also depends on wether or not I can get my D44 and/or my SYE done this Saturday. I should know for sure by Monday.

What, are you too scared to run with a 35 now? Where are your guts? By the way what happened to junking your rig and giving me all of that stuff?

Let's see, run Dusey with a D35 or run it with a D44, HMMMMM I'm confident the D35 will hold up, or at least wouldn't leave me stranded as long as I bring some trusty spares. I have the opportunity to finish it up this Saturday, I'll see how it goes.

Amy did get back safely from Nepal/India two weeks ago and is settling in. And I'm getting used to another body around the house! We are both really excited to get out of SF and head down for a great weekend of beautiful scenery, cool people and definitely some good wheelin'.
I fixed all the crap I broke on the 'Con, and should be in better form. It's always hard to get back up to speed when the Jeep's been sitting in the garage for 6 months and you have to relearn everything, it's nice when the trips are closer together. Five hours sounds great for the drive, we'll probably be down there a little after lunch. And I guess we'll be bringing lots of rain gear just in case.
