I love my XJ.

Just for Me.
4.0+ Rock Crawling is a thrill and a real head rush. Every mod makes it better. Dollars, sweat and blood invested pay off handomely. I feel more alive when putting it all to the test than (almost) any other time. There is nothing that I cant do if I put some effort into it. Every trip the skills get better, the trails harder and spares I carry more worthwhile.

Family.
Driving easy trails with wife and daughter, exploring the back country, abondoned towns, mines, caves and railroad sidings are each are an adventure. Hunting fossils, gems, crystals, rocks and a hands on experience in geology and the creation of the planet that cant be equaled by any school book.

Catus, flowers, insects, scat, tracks, birds, bobcats, coyotes, jackrabbits and dozens of other forms of life have been brought to life up close and personal. Its real, not discovery channel or animal planet. It is the discovery of life and a way to channel the planet into our lives that cant happen any other way. Camping in isolation, true solitude, time to comtemplate, wonder at the stars and the greatness of it all.

To the day I die I will never forget it, I am forever changed. My wife has been places and done things she only dreamed of as a kid, the excitement on her face at the mountain views and high country lakes are better than any diamond could ever bring. My daughter appreciates and has experienced things that few city kids ever will. When she names the stars and tells me what animal left those tracks, that scat or names a beetle, flower or catus (and it uses to the indians) I know her life is forever richer.

My XJ has changed and enrichened my life and that of my family in ways I never anticipated. I cant wait for the next trip.

How about you?
