can you flat tow it or not ??? help ???????jim

its a 5 speed, no locking hubs...

If I'm correct,the '87 model YJ used the NP 207 t-case. Just put the transmission in gear and the t-case in neutral and flat tow it anywhere. The good thing about the 207 is that it used an oil pump that's driven off of the tailshaft,unlike the 231,which would need to be started every few hundred miles or so to lubricate the internals to help avoid damage.

yes it has a 207 transfer case put the tranny in any gear and case in nuetral.....wow that sounds strange.....thanks..

I'd put the tranny in first gear if it were me,but I guess it really shouldn't matter :dunno: With an auto trans it's supposed to be in "park" w/t-case in neutral.
