Particularly when taking off from a stop, it's happened within the past few weeks.............it's not a big power loss, but noticeable to me

2001 4.0 NP231 65k
all fluids are fresh (except coolant), spark plugs replaced at 60k
gas mileage as of friday is 17-18, which is what it hovers around..........so i'm assuming my O2's are still good

what else can i check???

The cat converter could be on its way out. Bash it with your fist and see if it rattles. If it does, it's time to replace it.

make sure its cool when you do that. cats get very hot and stay hot for a long time after driving.

^^i guess i need a multi meter to check that huh?

that shouldn't happen this early on though should it?

anyone think if i gave the throttle body and all it's openings/sensors a good cleaning that this little "problem" might disapear?? cleaning that is one thing that i haven't done, not sure if it's ever been done.........
