Well just spent my weekend installing my new rock rails from Aj's armor, dont think they will be much help in the snow next weekend but they should come in handy down the road sometime, they were coated with 3m rubberized undercoating then top coated with a high gloss black finish, let me know what ya think.

They look good. And beefy to boot.

The rails are plenty stong and they will last well. The paint on the other hand does not seem to last as well as I would have expected.

I have those same rails on my '96. I had to modify them a bit to work with my RE belly pan skid. But I love these rails, they work great! For extra strength I also welded them to my unibody.
HUGE + 1 on paint not lasting long. I've tried rubberized undercoating, Krylon Rust Tough, and Rustoleum (sp?) paint. So far the Rustoleum has lasted the longest.

I just finished installing these same rock rails on my 96 XJ. Took it out last weekend. I must have bashed them against every rock and tree I could find, including coming down on my driver side one HARD as I was clearing an obsticle. Except for some scratched paint they came through unscathed. I must say, I'm 150% satisfied with them.
