4 Cyl RMS Q's

RMS on 2.5 4 banger/Manual trans 86 MJ

I've done my own RMS on a 4.0, but am unsure if the tranny needs to come out for this eng/tranny combo.

Any specific tips/tricks for the 2.5?

as far as i've heard its pretty much the same as doing it on the 4.0 just a bit easier because the oil pan is smaller.

The 2.5L uses a one-piece rear main seal, so the tranny must be removed. It is not the same as doing the rear seal on the 4.0L.

Eagle is correct as usual. Tranny must be removed along with the clutch and flywheel to get at the seal. Been there done that.
