Which Long Arm Lift?

I just bought a '95 XJ.:) I want to start planning my build ASAP. I know TJ's really well because that's what I've wheeled for the past 7 years, but I don't know a lot about what's unique to XJ's. I've learned a lot from the gradual build up of my TJ and I want to do the XJ right. I'm thinking 33's right now, but I might want to go bigger in the future. I definitely want a long arm lift with rear springs (no AAL or SOA), but I'm not too familiar with everything that's available for XJ's. What do you recommend for a long arm lift that will see lots of rocks and daily-driver duty?

well XJs are already SOA in the rear so that takes care of that, and most people are going to tell you TNT, which is a sweet setup that utilizes Rubicon Express springs with a custom made LA set... or the full traction, which also looks sweet in this guys opinion. I also have a friend who runs the Clayton LA kit which uses Rock Krawler springs, but he doesn't like the way it flexes in the rear.

Oops, shows how much I know. I thought I saw a 5.5" kit that advertised the rear was spring over vs. new springs.:dunno:

He wasn't being sarcastic, you should really take the time to look over this kind of thing yourself. But since we are on topic...

1. TNT
2. Clayton
3. RE
4. Rock Krawler

Jonny, I personally think that Clayton is making the nicest long arms on the market right now. I was also very happy with the lift height and ride of Rusty's 6" coils and STS rear leaf packs and shocks.

Love my Clayton longarm kit, very simple to install if you are comfortable with welding to a unibody. No drilling and all that time consuming stuff, can easily install it in a day.

this is just a few links that i just quickly grabbed talking about long arms and some of the debates. There was one specific one that i was looking for but couldn't find it
do a search for my name on any of the forums and chances are you'll find almost all the links containing long arms.

If you need any information on the rock krawler kit, you can get me through email of pm
