got a chance to pick up a set of 94 wrangler rims and tires,will they fit my 86 xj?

Yes, both used a 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern.

If the tires are larger than whatever your XJ came with stock, you may experience rubbing on the LCAs or in the wheel wells under serious articulation.

You can also use Grand Cherokee 15 or 16" rims (mine are 16" aluminum ones with 33" tires on them) up til '97 (then they went to 5 on 5" pattern)

'99 was the first year for the WJ Grand Cherokee and the 5 on 5" bolt pattern

So what are the chances 03 wrangler rims will bolt up to my 89 xj. buddy of mine is getting rid of a set... ugly as sin but i need new tires

Any rims from a YJ, TJ, ZJ or KJ will have the same bolt pattern as our XJ's.
