I did a search and didn't find much info on this.
I'm currently running a RE 5.5 extreme duty lift with 35x12.5 BFG A/T's. The previous owner said that the bumpstops on it are the factory ones (inside the top of the coil spring).
What do most people who run this combo run bumpstop wise?
I'm going to trim a little, but wouldn't want to go overboard.

I'm running the Rubicon Express front bumpstops that came with the kit, along with some extended uppers I got from Rusty's. I still had to trim the inner pinch seam up front.
I'm running the same setup in the rear as the link above.
The fenders have been cut quite a bit, and the tires do not rub.

so pretty much only the rear needs to be bumpstopped? The front can be fixed with simple trimming?

not all rigs flex the same, you'll have to flex yours up, then you can tell how much bumpstop you'll need, for the rear, your best bet is the DPG adjustable ones, for the front, it will depend on how much you trim, what backspace rims you have ect..ect

I run the daystar extended bumps in the upper with hockey pucks on the bottom. In back DPG bumpstop plates.

In front I used the extended Daystar mount. It was the larger style which doesn't fit my 98 so I had it turned on a lathe to match the OEM bumpstop:

I drilled/tapped a hole in the coil pad and bolted down four hockey pucks per side also:

In back I used some left over door armor(forgot the gauge) built a plate and supported it with 2x2 tubing. The thin material allowed me to keep the U bolts I already purchased:

The maiden run was this past weekend at the SoCal JV Jambo and it held up fine. I'll probably fine tune some, but it seemed to get all of the travel out of the 10" Bilsteins. Good enough for groceries....

Ronbo:What size tires are you running to need that much bumpstop?

35's. I figured it might be too much, wanted to err on the side of caution. Looking at the shocks, seems they were within 1/2" of full compression, so the poly front and OEM rear stops must compress pretty good.
