Wanna lift?

I hope this goes here in the OEM forum. I would like to install a 3" suspension kit on my '88 Cherokee and I would like to know what brands y'all have used (Rancho, Skyjacker, Pro Comp, etc.) and what successes/failures y'all have had. Also, Is it true that 3" of lift will give me the clearance to put up to 31" tires on stock rims without modification?

OEM is original equipment. This needs to be in the modified forum.
To answer though.
Yes, 31's should fit with 3". You'll need to extend the bumptops a little.
31x10.5s will rub the lower control arms at full steering lock, so you need to adjust the steering stops, or get control arms that are bent for clearance. WJ arms are the mod there.
