i know that people say you need about 5 to 5.5 inches of lift to run 35's on an XJ, with generouse trimming, but does the change to full width increase or decrease the lift required to run 35's? i want to buy another set of 35x14.50 boggers for my XJ(had some on my old suburban) and am collecting parts for a radius arm full width set-up.

thanks

i could be wrong, but i would say increase lift required. with thinner tires and shorter axles the tires can stuff up into the wells, with wider axles and 14.50 tires the sharp edge of the quarter panel will come down right on the tire when fully compressed. You could just bumpstop heavily but then you lose travel.
