XJ with MJ bench

Is it possible to replace the XJ seats for an MJ bench? Has anyone done this before or should I be the first to post the fab?

You'll have to knock the floor-to-frame brackets off both sets of seats, as they are different between bucket and bench. Then bolt the bucket seat brackets to the floor and set the bench seat over them to see what sort of mods you'll have to make. Finally you'll have to weld everything together, for which a cheap little 70A 110V welder will do fine.

I went the other way- put buckets into an MJ with a bench. The bench fit perfectly in the bed afterwards.

don't forget you'll have to contend with the parking brake lever.

i am interested in doing this mod too. does anyone have any pics or write ups?
