Gutted a cheapo 35" trail boss hv in the pit sunday. Ripped it from the first lug of tread to the rim on a chunk/boulder of flint in a old lime rock mine. So now is my golden opp to get tough new tires. How could the wife argue with my logic. Ordered the 36x12.5 swampers today. Going to pic them up on Saturday. Which rim width would you guy suggest? I have a spare set of 15x8's or my current 15x10's. I dont mind either size.

Everyone I run with prefers 8" rims. Some that have tried 10's have gone back to 8's. The reason is that the tire stays on the rim much better with an 8" rim, and is a heck of a lot easier to re-seat if the bead does come off. If you run snow at all, 10" rims at low enough pressure are nothing but a PIA.

ditto 8" the narrower the rim the less sidewall exposure!

Thanks G. Its the only rockish climbing and diving place in florida that there is...that we know of. People driving from both coast of florida to come here. Some from tampa and jacksonville this weekend. one guy rolled his brand new wrangler that had only 13k on the odometer.http://home.earthlink.net/~michtravhp/_uimages/supersaturday008.jpg

Well despite the weather I went Saturday and Sunday up to Ocala to ride some rock. We had a great time. Saturday a locked TJ with 31s came along. He actually got up a pretty big ledge with some generous rock stacking. However he was having a real rough time on the 2nd steep portion of the climb. Needless to say he took a little tumble.... I think the Jeep had 13,000 miles http://mywebsite.register.com/db3/00289/keaysnet.com/_uimages/roll800600.jpg
The last pic is my friend with a 4cly auto with 1ton chevy axles and 37" crawlers.http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid71/p83b32b49c10a77ddc8cc81982c38b243/fb962d05.jpg
