Anyone built a low wattage transmitter before? Any good sites to direct me to, or advice?

Just for fun, and I already know my regulations. Any other info is appreciated...

No, can't say I have, but these kits used to be popular.
I tried Ramsey Electronics, but didn't see anything.

Need to boost the signal on those :shhh: secret mini-video cameras?

They moved them - link's here (http://www.ramseyelectronics.com/fm/), but it looks as though they only offer the 50-watt professional and semi-pro setups. Good transmitters anymore, though. L.D. Brewer (http://www.ldbrewer.com/) also used to be a good source, as was Panaxis (http://www.panaxis.com/). Been a while since I've had to look into it, though. Oh, and this site (http://members.tripod.com/~transmitters/)'s been around forever, but there are some good links off of it.

BTW, you may want to google LPFM or 'low power FM' transmitters - I kinda suspect the stuff you're talking about would fall into that general category. There used to be a 20-watt digitally-tuned rackmount unit out there (with stereo!) for around $900 or so; if you run across it, I'd appreciate it if you could let me know who's got them.

I know the FCC doesn't mean squat to you living in the 'Great Useless North'. But they have been just slapping the stuffing out of people with those LPFM units. Seems to be lots of confusion on their correct operation.

We still have the CRTC and Industry Canada to contend with though, and they breathe down your neck in the same way the FCC does.

Thanks for the links, eh?
