Just saw the info. on the CO fest campground. I guess I'll be camping somewhere else and hook up with the group each morning. Anyone else in the same situation?

What is it with Colorado and their dog issues? My Nephew moved from here to Bolder for awhile and moved back because of the stupid dog laws.

Dogs are allowed in individual and RV sites- just not the cabins or the group tent site. You could try calling the office and see if they'll make any exceptions- its worth a try.I dont like it much either- I'd like to bring my 3 heathens...I mean dogs.Other than the dog issue, the campground owners have been extremely hospitable and accomodating (and patient with our sometimes drunken  rabble-rousing ).

The Peoples' republic of Boulder and Denver have some pretty stupid dog laws (in Boulder you dont "own" your pet, you are considered its "guardian"- what a bunch of BS) but the rest of the state is mostly normal.:D

Well that figures...Boulder has never really been on my list of places to live.

Can't wait to see everyone in Co this year.

Oh...I'm sorry. I'me still heavily medicated so maybe I read it wrong. I can stay in the same area as the group, I'll just need to get an individual site? I'll just be banished then. Does that mean that my dog and I can't walk 50 or 100 yards over to the group sites to drink beer? Maybe I'll just bring a disco ball and hang it from a tree over in MY area...the DOG area. I'm gonna have stripper, kegs, and Ted Nugent will be playing.

I think it's just a "potential hazzard" management issue for the Campground. They don't wanna have several dogs crappin and pissin and barking collectively.

The C.G. has a dog walking area and they are strict on leashes.

Daryl had his dog there (group site) on a leash and I never heard him get hassled by C.G. staff.... but I believe his was the only dog staying there.

So, if you bring your dog and have your own tent site, you should be just fine visiting the group site with your dog.

HTH.

That's totally cool...I understand. I know I'm one of the rare few that picks up poop when there's a chance that someone else might step in it. I'm still gonna shoot for no less than Wayne Newton on the mic and Lonnie Anderson shakin' her junk while holding onto a portable brass pole.

Meh......... Yer gonna hafta do WAY better than Lonnie Anderson brutha - currently, her junk is junk. Unless you can figure out a way to bring her back in her early 80's glory.

Make it Rebecca Romjin - she's the kinda chic that can hang with a crowd like ours!

True but you know who really lights my fire, puts a twinkkle in my eye? Leah Ramini. Not sure on the spelling but she plays on The King of Queens.

Oh yeah...that's what makes river randy.

Deogie was the only dog with our group most of the time last year. At first they said dogs would be okay, then they changed their mind, but I was already on the road before they said no dogs. Jeff and I talked to them, and got permission for Deogie at the group camp site last year. Not sure what they'll say this time around.

The only dog problem we had last year was a dog that got his leash loose from what he was tied to. That dog wasn't even from our group.

I guess that I'll have to get a individual site. Cause Deogie won't let me go to Colorado without her.

Cause it's so much fun watching some one that should know better, spitting water out of his spark plug holes!!!!

Plus if you ask Bloose, he'll let me come again, so long as I have the blue bags.....

I've always liked her, never really sure why. But this photo is a good agruement for checking her out a little closer.

Sounds like a plan, hope I have the XJ going by then. Moving very slow around here lately. It'd be a better plan if you brought Leah not Lonnie...........

I assume "DD" means designated driver? Phunny.

I'm of the opinion that many of the Colorado guys wanna see the legend that wheels the hard stuff with a hand-throttle and a 5 speed....... that's why I'm allowed.

Yeah, apparently he's doing all of us a huge favor letting us in on a little of his wisdom. Surely no one here had ever heard of a hand throttle before he came along........ and a hand throttle is such advanced fab/tech.....

Well...I was trying to think back to the meeting. I couldn't recall you having any type of disability which would require a hand throttle. As a special ed. teacher, I tend not to notice a lot of stuff like that. Disability or not I'd still like to see it. I was a service manager at a bike shop for 10 years and we did stuff for customers with disabilities when other shops wouldn't.
