Can I use the coil from a 89 4.0 in a 86 2.5? If not anybody have a coil for a 2.5 for sale?

Why not go to www.rockauto.com and look up the coil for both applicatoins and see if it is the same Delco/Standard part number. That should pretty well figure it out.

as far as i know it is the same coil.... ICM will most likely not work...

Well one question, are you swapping just one spring? Why? I would say swap both springs that way any difference is equel.
