lincoln locked rear?

So, I'm looking at buying a jeep with a welded 35 (which is a POS anyhow). Anyone ever DD one of these? How long did it hold up for and how bad was it on the road? Just pondering if I should plan on doing an axle swap within the first two months, or later down the road....

I have a d44 that has a detroit in it that is siezed up so it acts like a lincoln locker. On the road it isn't too bad so I really haven't worried about fixing it yet, just keep your tire pressures the same. I would run it until it breaks.

X2...i wheel regularly with a guy that runs a welded D30 and D35 on 35's with his YJ and ive yet to see him break a shaft and he runs the snot out of it. Carry a spare shaft or two and have fun!
