Dana 35C with no c clips

I know C doesnt stand for C clips, but I thought that it happened to be that it worked that way. I found a 35c in the yard with the old style bearings and no c clips

They weren't c-clip until the 1991 model year, I think.

"C" means "Custom" - it went to the automaker as a housing, rather than as a compleat axle.

The Dana 35C is the designation for the design sold or licensed to them by AMC. It was originally called a Model 15.

Correct, Correct, Correct... C=Custom and not Clip... thus many 35Cs will not have C Clips.
