Not a bolt in, could be fabbed in to work but why go to all that work?

NO! It will not work.

But there's a bigger problem than that -> it's NOT from a 1992 Jeep Grand Cherokee, because the grands were not sold until 1993.

I would say no way it won't work.

Also the build date on the Grand Cherokee maybe 12/92 ?
