started my extremely problematic cherokee today, and it made a horrible scratching sound. i realized it was the starter, continuing to turn with the engine. turning the key to start a couple times fixed the problem for now, but the starter's only 10k miles old and i don't have the money to replace it if it breaks altogether. any suggestions?
