I'm putting 35's on my Jeep soon and am planning on putting in an 8.8. I have a D30 already equipped with 4.56 gears. A buddy of mine has a set of 4.88 gears for the 8.8 that he would sell cheap. I do quite a bit of offroading but the Jeep is still my daily driver for a while yet. Which would be the better set to go with?

4.88 definately, 4.56 is really made for the 33's. And this is assuming you have have the automatic.

The difference is fairly minimal, but if you want the best combo, 4.88s is where its at.
