Yours was hollowed when I got it, so I tossed it. If you just need to pass smog, I got one you can use.

you can get them on ebay for $40 or so. I had one installed for $99 or so at muffler tech and then went to the smog place and passed with flying colors! nevermind I had a nonfunctional egr.

The guts in mine have come loose (rattling like crazy!). Don't need it for smog, just peace of mind. :D

Just gut the sucker for now. Wait until you have a smog inspection before you get a new one. That way you have a fresh CAT for the next insp and you don't bang up the new one on rocks to. :D:D:D:D:D (is that enogh smilies for ya Kevin)
