Steering wheel lock

Hey guys,

New here...just joined a few days ago...got my first XJ about a week ago (my first post on the door poll)...2000 2Dr 4.0L.

Have a question about the steering wheel (did a search and couldn't find anything)...

After putting it in park and removing the ignition key...isn't the steering wheel suppose to lock (when you turn it a little to the right or left)??

Yep. AFAIK, it is supposed to lock. TRUCK CLUB will cure your problem for very little pain/money.

My 98 doesn't. Don't think they got that little feature. My 89 YJ with the older GM column does, so I'm guessing the old XJ's do too.
