Could be the u-joint. Could be bearings. Could be the center cap on your tires. Pop it up on a lift or jackstand and give it a spin or three. If unable to isolate, pull the wheel off and try again.

does the noise happen on sharp turns??? mine and a friends also has a noise...i hear it in the steering box. more like a single knock noise though. open your hood and have someone turn your wheels...see if the single knock comes from the box. if so...is this normal??

Check for a small rock caught in the tread of the tire.

I had such a problem, it turned out to be the hiem joint end of my RE track bar. greased it and retorqued the bolt and the noise went away

I've seen(heard) similar clicking and it turned out to be the track-bar where it mounts to the frame drop bracket. If you have factory steering still I would check the joint and tighten the nut.

I had the same problem on mine. Turned out to be the track bar.

I had a clunk in the front end when I turned the wheels, turned out the RE adjustable track bar came with an undersize bolt that went through the 'tie rod end'; in to the frame. Redrilled the frame and put in the right size bolt and the 'clunk' went away.
