In light of a thead going in off-topic right now I have to ask...

2 door vs 4 door

One of each.
91 2-dr = stock (for now) with 30's & TJ wheels.
99 4-dr = pebble crawler on 2"bb & 31's.

I've heard that the 4door is a stronger body because of the rear doors. Any truth to it?

Hey there,

Newbie here...Just got a 2000 cherokee SE about a week ago.

Nice Forum you guys got here.

Was looking for a 'project vehicle'...looking at Ranger, rodeo, 4runner and cherokee....decided to go with the cherokee...lots of good advice and experience on the web and lots of parts.

JEEPZZ, I don't know if it's jealousy or just plain dislike....

But if that 4DR Comanche is real, it's disgusting....

The wheelbase must be more than a Suburban.

BTW I have a 87' XJ 2DR and a 87' XJ 4DR, both pack D44's.

I have an '87 Comanche, '73 J4000, '84 J10, '83 Cherokee 2dr WT (full size), '93 Cherokee and parts leftover of the '93 ZJ I parted (as well as other XJs)

Have a two dr since 99 had a 4dr for awile but to many leaks.

Got a 2 dr. Wonderful car. In refrence to the question regarding whether the 4 door is more structurally sound... it is a bit, it has a bit more support, but I have the 2 dr, my friend has a 4 dr, and I dont notice a massive difference.
