Stiff steering- could it be the hose? (searched)

My 96 has stiff steering issues, can it be a bad pressure hose? The system is not leaking, the fluid is new and of high quality, and the pump and gear box are new (it was stiff with other pumps and gear boxes too). I am pretty sure the shaft, tie rods, and tire pressure are all good. What could it be if it couldn't be a hose?

Ever think about the ball joints? Since on two of the four are greasable, you might have two dry as a bone.

I have a similar problem on my 96 when the fluid gets good and warmed up. I go to turn into a parking spot and my steering gets stiff. The engine is at an idle since I have my foot on the clutch. As soon as I bump the rpms up the stiffness goes away. I think my pump is starting to go bad. It does it randomly so it has been hard to diagnose.

my 87 is a bit hard at idle, mostly when i put the clutch in and coast around a slow turn...

Mine has a new pump, and the steering is stiff at any speed, almost worse at highway speeds??
