lets see... there is plenty of old guys here :D Avery, Grant.... ;)

Anyways, don't worry about the age thing: show up to an event and you'll see a wide range of age groups.

Thanks, I wondered. I am waiting for the front driveshaft to arrive before I'll be ready for any outings. I wish I was going to be ready for Calico as it is only 45 minutes from home. My CJ5 has a towbar but my XJ doesn't. I need to think about fabbing up a mount. I saw one out at the MDR race last weekend but didn't have time to crawl under it and see how he had made it. He told me he took off the front bumper and built it off the frame and then dropping the bracket down to allow the original bumper to remain.

yeah, bring the CJ and wheel it... or at the very least show up and there is bound to be a seat available for you to hang out on the trail and then hang out for the campfire at night.

Naw, we don't have any old guys...........everybody is young. Old guys don't drive Cherokees very often.

Well, you're not the only guy out there with grandkids. Am I close if I have children in their 30's? :)

That can't be used as a qualifier! Nope, find something else. My eldest son will be 28 next month, as such, there must be flaws with your logic. Wrong, I tell you; wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong WRONG!

LOL, yup, that'd be me :D I've never cared much for the age thing: whether it's how old a person is or how old a person looks and that's why I always have as much fun with it as I can. Btw, she was giving me high 30's not mid 40's (mid 40's is the ancient age ;) )

Well all, I've got kids in their 40's. I've been racing off road for 40 years but am new to the wheeling thing. I'm looking forward to giving it a try soon. My CJ has the trans out on the bench and the XJ is missing a front drive shaft right now.
I'll be out at Red Mountain this weekend helping at the 4 Aces National Hare & Hound. Should be good spectating if any of you want to drive out Sunday morning.
Thanks for making me feel so welcome and I will for sure join you in the near future. We're getting ready to put together a class 1400 truck for MDR, SNORE, and SCORE so things are going to get busy.

40 yrs. Did you ever know the Bryans from down in Indio.... we just dusted off the old class 8 truck (10 yrs.) & took it to the Parker race last weekend & won the class. Little luck & the experience of 30 yrs. paid off, 6 starters & 2 finished (I think) and 43rd overall. His first race was the 74 Parker, 30 yrs. later his kids first race... Parker & they win the class.... kinda cool.
Welcome.... if you add two of the guys on here together they'll be older than you so don't sweat it.....just wheel it.
