I have a 2000 Cherokee Sport and when i run the heater in it, the heater sounds like it's kickin on and kickin off right after it turns ons. Is that normal?

Does it do it in the windshield defroster position only or heat position only?

only when i turn on the heater, it doesn't seem to do it for anything else.

Thanks!When you say the "heater kicks on", do you mean the blower motor turns on and then off?

yeah, and then turns off almost immediately right after

The blower motor recieves it's power from Fuse #6 (40 amps) on the power distribution panel under the hood. If the blower stops running as you describe, only two things can cause that: a blown fuse, or a siezed blower motor.
A blown fuse would be easy to spot, but a siezed motor can only really diagnosed by taking it out and running 12V directly on it.
